Documentation
Although this repair stand is made well with quality materials, its design / ease of use is seriously flawed. Specifically its use of 3-3mm Allen key pan head bolt to secure the adjustable bottom bracket cradle. I removed the stand from its shipping box and setup the stand. So far so good! Then I tried to adjust the “BB Cradle” by first loosening the 3-3mm tiny Allen key bolts. They were “EXTREMELY tight. I manage to get two loosened but ended up stripping the third one. SO STUPID! Why were these tiny bolts installed so tightly at the factory. Why so many bolts to secure an adjustable cradle when 2 or even 1 bolt would be sufficient to secure this cradle. After all there is no force acting agains this cradle under normal use. Why use 3mm bolt when a 4 or even 5mm bolt would be far less likely to strip? Now I have to drill out the bolt, and use a screw/bolt extractor, which I first must buy, to remove the stripped bolt, Making matter worst, I must also buy a cordless drill to accomplish this repair. I am disgusted with the poor design of this repair stand and Feedback Sport. I expected a much better user experience than I received. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Hello Gaetano, of course we are very sorry to hear about your negative experience. Those bolts are made from high carbon steel and are very hard to damage. Hopefully the 3mm hex wrench you used was in good condition and didn't damage the bolts. The bottom bracket cradle isn't meant to be adjusted on a regular basis, The sticker on the BB cradle indicates that it's to be moved once during setup and then fixed in place. Agreed, there's not a lot of force acting on it but we don't want to loosen up during travel or use. It does sound like the factory bolts were quite tight upon arrival to you. Please contact our customer service and we will do everything possible to support you!
Awesome rack- must have
The Feedback Sports Sprint work stand is excellent. It's well made and has high quality components. I am especially pleased that my carbon bikes can be held securely without stress on the seat post. The stand is very portable, folds down to a small size and easy to handle. I can now take both the stand and the bike inside my bathroom whenever I have to wash the bike. On my cycling club rides, the stand goes in the support car. I have just set up my home workshop and the Sprint stand was the first purchase.
Customer service provided by Feedback Sports is exemplary. I highly recommend this product. If you are in the market for a quality stand , look no further.
The Sprint Stand is an exceptional upgrade to any repair set up. This stand is sturdy, has a 360 degree rotation and allows you to move the bike up or down. Mounting the bike via the dropouts(thru axle or quick release) means that you don't have to worry about the bike swinging side to side while being washed or worked on. This stand will also work with almost any bike frame, size or shape. The materials used on this stand are high quality making the Sprint Stand light, durable and ready for any bike related project.
I wish I had bought this years ago. I built a new bike on it, and it made the job so much easier! Being able to move the bike up and down, as well as free 360 rotation, was really handy for routing cables and adjusting the drivetrain.
This is just a really nice piece of equipment. Great design and first-class materials.
