Hard to believe, but it's been 20 years since Doug and Lisa Hudson started Feedback Sports from the basement of their home in Golden, Colorado. Their first product, the Alpine Digital Scale, is still in the line today.

Today we are celebrating our 20th anniversary with this Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Pro Mechanic repair stand. It's a striking symbol of the dedication and commitment by Doug and Lisa. They are passionate riders and acolytes of the sport, perpetually striving to offer elegant solutions to the most simple problems of cyclists at every level.

So, 20 years later, we're revisiting our roots. How did it all begin?

After finishing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Florida, Doug Hudson packed his bags, and with a close friend set forth on an adventure undefined. Life was grand – bikes, surfing, snowboarding, skating – living the dream. That dream eventually led to the creation of the iconic messenger bag and lifestyle brand Chrome™.

Living in a warehouse in Denver, working endless hours designing, stitching, marketing and selling was all part of the dream and where he met his wife-to-be, Lisa.

While Doug was all-in at Chrome™, the voice in the back of his head reminded him of the hard work required to achieve his degrees. And so he transitioned his career to become a pioneer in the tech industry, traveling the globe to put his mark on the world of fiber optics.

With a never-ending passion for action sports Doug knew deep down his calling was not a suit and tie. While still working in fiber optics, he dipped his toe in the water with the introduction of the Feedback Sports Alpine Digital Scale – fitting for an electrical engineer. This venture whet his appetite to put the chips on the table. And with the support of Lisa, the two set forth towards a great unknown.

With a keen eye for good products and unfulfilled market needs, the Hudson’s acquired Ultimate repair stands. 20 years later, our company researches, designs and engineers dozens of products catered specifically to cyclists. As accomplished cyclists themselves, their passion for the sport and an active lifestyle is infectious. Their commitment drives the company forward and is the foundation of everything we do.

Doug and Lisa’s love of cycling and racing created and protects the cultural base of the company. They set the tone that we choose to be in the bicycle industry because although we work hard, we also want to have fun. Every day, they remind us to work hard and play hard. To be respectful. To support our customers and business partners. To be good stewards of cycling, of industry, and the world around us.

Today, Feedback Sports aspires to be a known and respected brand in the cycling industry, but more importantly, aims to be a company that others want to work with.
