Before using squirt for the first time 1. Clean your drive train thoroughly, remove all petroleum based product. Use simple green and hot water and dish soap with a soft brush to scrub 2. Let the drive train dry. 3. Apply squirt liberally to the inside of the chain covering all pins and each link and roller. If you apply the lube in wet conditions it is important to let the lube dry after application. 4. Do not wipe excess lube from your drive train, let the lube penetrate for several minutes, go ride. 5. Reapply as needed. 6. Clean your drive train with a soft wire or nylon brush. You may notice some wax build up on your pulley wheels which is easily removed with a toothpick. 7. Once you begin to use squirt lube on your drive train, do not degrease ever again, but instead reapply lube as needed. You do not want to remove the wax film squirt lube creates on the drivetrain or the lubricating waxes in the cavities of the chain. This coating is what lubricates and protects your drivetrain from collecting foreign material 8. Store squirt lube in above freezing temperatures. Squirt is carried by water and can freeze changing its consistency.
